Bezi Project - "Secret Santa XR Gift"
Official Submission to the Bezi - Holiday Augments Design Challenge:
Holiday Augments Design Challenge
Project Overview: For the Bezi Holiday Augments Design Challenge 2023, I created an interactive prototype that allowed users to place and hang Christmas ornaments in their environment through mixed reality. This project revolved around the concept of receiving a secret Santa gift card. Upon opening the card through a specially designed interaction, the gifts would emerge from the card and become ready to be hung in the user's space.
Concept and Interaction: The idea was to create a playful and immersive experience that leveraged the full capabilities of Bezi. Users would interact with a digital secret Santa card, which, when opened, would animate and release digital ornaments. These ornaments could then be positioned and hung around the user's environment, blending the digital and physical worlds seamlessly.
Technical Implementation: The intricate animations and interactions were crafted using Bezi’s state machine, which allowed for detailed and smooth transitions. This technical sophistication was a key factor in setting my project apart and ultimately winning the challenge.
Goal and Outcome: The goal was to push the boundaries of what Bezi could do in developing a prototype that was both functional and delightful. The project successfully demonstrated how augmented reality could be used to enhance traditional holiday experiences, making it a standout submission in the competition.
